Children and Youth Services
Children are often secondary victims of domestic violence. Witnessing domestic violence can have a profound effect on children and youth.
Our Advocacy Programs offer resources and referrals to help children and youth adjust to life in our shelter and learn that not all environments are abusive.
A support group for children and youth is available. This service provides age-appropriate discussion of topics specific to children and youth who have experienced domestic violence. Evening activities also include homework help, crafts and snacks.
School-Based Prevention Education Services
We are proud to offer a prevention education curriculum to area schools. This curriculum is available to any school or teacher. Classroom activities include discussion and hands on learning.
