Volunteer Program

We encourage volunteering at the Safe House for Women!  We try to use volunteer talents and abilities to best fit our program needs and the needs of our residents.  There are ongoing needs for

• Childcare
• Advocacy (Answering the Hotline)
• Shelter upkeep and maintenance
• Transportation of residents to/from appointments, job interviews, errands
• Helping with fundraising and special events
• Helping in the Thrift Shop (sorting, accepting donations, ringing sales)
• Receptionist & light office duties at Outreach Office

To become a Volunteer, you’ll need to:

• Complete an application
• Complete a Criminal Background Check
• Participate in a training/orientation program
