Our History
The Safe House for Women is a not-for-profit, private 501(c)(3) domestic violence agency that provides safe shelter, 24-hour crisis hot line services, intensive case management, counseling, court advocacy, referral services, and education programs.The Safe House was established in 1991, providing safe shelter and a crisis hot line as a source of immediate help for victims of domestic violence and abuse.
Our Vision
The vision of the Safe House for Women is a community in which the residents live free from domestic abuse and violence.
Our Mission
- Provide safe refuge to those affected by domestic abuse and violence.
- Provide support services to those affected by domestic abuse and violence.
- Provide training and education to increase awareness of and prevention of domestic violence for the community we serve.
- Advocate for social change and public policy that protect a person’s right to live free of abuse.
